Special NeedsSensory-Friendly Events for Kids with Special Needs

We welcome all children who meet program guidelines to our events. However, we understand that some kids have special needs that make attending certain programs challenging.

Listed below are sensory-friendly movie screenings and encounters with outside performers. Also listed are programs that, while not designed specifically for kids with special needs, may have particular appeal.

Sensory-Friendly Events

  • Family PlayLab: Monster Mash
    When: Saturday, October 14, 2017 - 10:00 AM - 10:45 AM
    Where: Youth Program Room

    Help us build a giant box creature, make monster costume accessories, and play "feed the beast." All ages.
  • Halloween Storytime
    When: Saturday, October 28, 2017 - 10:00 AM - 10:30 AM
    Where: Youth Program Room

    Ghosts and goblins and witches, oh my! Enjoy seasonal stories and songs that are more silly than spooky. Costumes encouraged. Ages 3 and up.
