That means our public art shows will now happen multiple times a year and will feature any and all artists who wish to participate. Each show will have a theme, which will be open to your interpretation of course! Every piece that meets the guidelines will be included in the show until we hit capacity (35-40 pieces for most shows).

What does Community mean to you? We want to see it! Enter the Library’s new art show, Community.
The first 40 entrants to register online will be accepted to the show! Registration begins Monday August 14 at 10am.

All work MUST BE PREREGISTERED to participate in the show. The first 40 pieces preregistered will be accepted. Work not preregistered will not be accepted.
Drop off times: Friday, September 8, 4:00-6:00. Saturday, September 9, 10:00-12:00.
Opening Reception: Friday, September 15, 7:00
Pick up: Monday, October 30, 4:00-6:00
Work must be dropped off and picked up during these times, no exceptions will be made. Only register for the show if you are able to make the listed drop off and pick up times.
Who may enter:
Artists over the age of 18 residing in the Chicago metropolitan area may enter. There is no entry fee.
Where and When to enter:
Work will be accepted at the Wilmette Library, 1242 Wilmette Ave. only during the times listed above. The library is located a block west of Green Bay Road on the corner of Park Ave. All work MUST BE PREREGISTERED to participate in the show. The first 40 pieces preregistered will be accepted. Work not preregistered will not be accepted.

What to enter:
Enter one wall piece, not exceeding 4’ x 4’, framed for gallery presentation and wired for hanging. The entry must not have been submitted previously. Dax-type frames, masonite and clipboard frames will not be accepted. Additionally, sculpture and multi-piece works (e.g., diptychs, triptychs) will not be accepted in this show. The piece should fit into the show’s theme: Community
