Magic book Warriors Don't Cry
Melba Pattillo Beals

Warriors Don't Cry takes place during the time of segregation between blacks and whites. Melba is chosen along with eight other students in order to attempt to integrate a high school. I liked this book because it was very tragic and I was able to understand how blacks felt during segregation.
