Magic book A Tale Dark and Grimm
Adam Gidwitz

This is the story of Hansel and Gretel, plus eight other scary fairy tales that Hansel and Gretel are in. Hansel and Gretel decide to leave home. They over heard their father talking abut chopping off their heads. He did this to save some one very faithful to their family. Hansel and Gretel took it the wrong way and thought that their father was trying to murder them. They run through the forest to a witches house and they cook the witch. They travel to a village were they see there new father turn seven kids into swallows. Hansel and Gretel live in a forest for a while. Hansel turns into a beast and then the story turns around. The two children split up and Gretel might get murdered by a handsome man. Hansel's new father had to trade Hansel to the devil to get the kings money back. The king gambled away all his money. Hansel and Gretel could never find the perfect parent until they returned home. A big surprise is at the end of the story. I loved this book there was so much action and it was VERY suspenseful. There was a lot of bloody scenes. I would recommend this book to people who love action and horror.

Magic book Stink and the Incredible Super-galactic Jawbreaker
Megan McDonald

This is a spinoff of the Judy Moody series in the perspective of the brother Stink. It was easy to read, but still entertaining. Megan does a good job in keeping the characters different and consistent. New characters are introduced and they are likeable except Webster. This was an easy read.

Book Cover Judy Moody- Girl Detective
Megan McDonald

This was a continuation of the series. It was similar to the other books. I thought it was pretty neat and the plot was good. The characters have not changed, but the plot is different. If you a Judy Moody fan, you will like this one.

Book Cover Lemonade Crime
Jacqueline Davies

I read the first book in this mini series. So I knew the plot before this book. There is a chance you might not follow the story or get all the subtle storyline details, had you not read the first book. I thought this book was better than the first. The characters evolved into better people in this book.

Book Cover Knights of the Kitchen Table
Jon Scieszka

I thought it was funny. The story line was not that good. He has had funnier books. What I did like were the names the characters gave each other. It was a book you can read in an afternoon.

Book Cover Little Wolf's Book of Badness
Iian Whybrow

I thought the beginning was sad. He was sent away to school. He eventually made good to come from the situation. He was better off in the woods than when he arrived to his destination. I loved the letters he wrote to his family. They were very funny. Overall, it was a very good read. Nothing was able to break his spirit and I liked that a lot!
